Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation
Key 1: Ride Peters' Hot Streak
-All seven of Keaton Peters' goals have come over the last six games and he has also scored in three consecutive games entering tonight. The last time that a Stars player scored in four consecutive games was when Tanner Ludtke scored in each game Feb. 18-25. Peters' 27 goals over the last three seasons are the fifth-most by any Stars skater.
Key 2: Keep Killing Penalties
-The Stars have not allowed a power-play goal in the last four games and are 10-for-10 in that time. This comes after a tough stretch where Lincoln allowed at least one power-play goal per game five straight games from Nov. 11-24. Fargo enters tonight with the third-best power-play unit in the USHL but went 0-for-2 last night. Peters' shorthanded goal last night was also the Stars' second shorthanded tally of the season.
Key 3: Win The Faceoff Battle
-Fargo enters tonight having won 59.2-percent of faceoffs. The Force won 52.3-percent of draws last night, with Gavin Morrissey and Jake Fisher leading the way at 62.5-percent and 52.9-percent, respectively. Fargo was especially impressive in their defensive zone, claiming 55.6-percent of faceoffs there. Reese Shaw led Lincon in the face-off dot last night, winning 62.5-percent of his eight draws.
