Lincoln Stars to Host Teddy Bear Toss on December 13 in Honor of Longtime Fan Jarod Haas
Fans Invited to Celebrate Jarod's Legacy by Donating Teddy Bears to Local Children
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Lincoln Stars are proud to announce that Saturday, December 13th, will serve as this season's Teddy Bear Toss, held in memory of Jarod Haas, a devoted season ticket holder, passionate supporter of youth hockey, and cherished member of the Stars family who tragically passed earlier this year.
Puck drop is set for 6:05 p.m. at the Ice Box.
A tradition throughout the hockey community, the Teddy Bear Toss invites fans to bring new, unwrapped stuffed animals to the game. After the Stars score their first goal of the night, spectators will throw their teddy bears onto the ice in a heartwarming celebration—a tribute that reflects the joy, generosity, and community spirit Jarod embodied.
All collected teddy bears will be donated to Community Action and distributed to local children and families throughout Lincoln.
"Jarod was more than a fan—he was part of our Stars family," said the Lincoln Stars organization. "His love for the game and his passion for supporting young players made a lasting impact. Hosting this Teddy Bear Toss in his honor ensures his spirit continues to inspire and uplift our community."
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, bring their teddy bears, and help create a memorable moment in Jarod's honor.
Tickets are still available at LincolnStars.com.
