FOUR STARS NAMED TO USA ROSTER FOR 2025 WORLD JUNIOR SUMMER SHOWCASE

Four Lincoln Stars defensemen have been invited to USA Hockey's team for the 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase July 25-Aug. 2 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis. Tanner Henricks (2023-25), Caeden Herrington (2024-25), Adam Kleber (2022-24) and Jacob Rombach (2023-25) are four of the 14 American defensemen added to the roster. 

This event serves as a showcase for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. Players from Canada, Finland and Sweden will also be competing at the week-long showcase. 

Henricks was selected 101st overall in the fourth round of the 2024 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He played in 119 games for the Stars over the last two seasons in addition to all 12 playoff games. Henricks was 1-of-10 Stars to record a plus-20 or better last season, finishing 2024-25 at plus-21. He finished third among Stars defenseman and 11th among all USHL blueliners with 33 points while his 29 assists were second among Lincoln defensemen and tied for seventh-most for USHL blueliners.

The Mission Viejo, Calif. native was a 2024 Chipotle All-American Game and won bronze at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Henricks appeared in 59 of 62 games in the regular season with the Stars and in all five postseason games. He previously played at Shattuck St. Mary's for two seasons, including posting 36 points (8+28) in 61 games for their 15U AAA team in 2021-22. 


Herrington was just selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Draft by the Los Angeles Kings with the 120th overall selection. He led all USHL blueliners with 16 goals and seven power-play goals while his four game-winning goals tied for first. The Vermont commit was a Chipotle All-American in January along with Rombach. Herrington tied Eli Vlaisavljevich (2005-06) for the second-most goals in a single season by a Stars defenseman.

The Manchester, Vt. native recorded 4 points (1+3) in 16 regular-season games for the Green Bay Gamblers in 2023-24 before suiting up in all eight postseason games. He was invited to the Nashville Predators development camp last summer following a terrific year at Holderness Prep School in which the Vermont commit recorded 49 points (7+42) in 29 games.

Kleber was selected 42nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2024 NHL Draft after two seasons with the Stars. He finished second among USHL defensemen with 125 shots led all Stars defensemen with 26 points (5+21) in 2023-24. Kleber was named to the All-Academic Team for the 2023-24 season after recording a 3.9 GPA in four years of high school.

The Chaska, Minn. native was a 2024 Chipotle All-American and then appeared on the United States National Team for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship. He also represented the United States at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the 2023 World Junior A Challenge, helping the Americans win bronze at both. Kleber recorded 5 points (2+3) in 33 games as a freshman at Minnesota-Duluth this past season.


Rombach is fresh off being selected 35th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2025 NHL Draft. The Minnesota Commit won the 2024 World Junior A Challenge with the U.S. Junior Select Team in December in his second instance representing his country after playing in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in 2023. Rombach also appeared in the Chipotle All-American Game in January.

The Blaine, Minn. native recorded 9 points (3+6) in 59 games in 2023-24 and then had 18 points (3+15) in 59 games this past season. Rombach appeared in 12 games over the last two Clark Cup Playoffs and added two assists. He tied for the eighth-best plus-minus in the USHL in the 2024-25 season at plus-40.
