LINCOLN (10-5)
The Stars enter tonight's game on a USHL-best five-game winning streak at home but are coming off back-to-back losses last weekend to Waterloo. Lincoln failed to win a game over the weekend for only the second time this season. The tough series against the Black Hawks moved the Stars down from first place to third in the Western Conference.

Stars captain Mason Marcellus enters tonight leading the USHL with 14 assists after recording two apples last weekend. Marcellus has points in four-of-the-last-fives games (2+3) and has recorded five points (1+4) in three games against Tri-City.

TRI-CITY (6-8-0-1)
The Storm sit sixth in the Western Conference after splitting a pair of games in the shootout with Des Moines last weekend. Tonight is the first of five consecutive games played on the road for Tri-City. The Storm are 3-7 in 10 road games and have been outscored 46-23 away from the Viaero Center.

Forward Evan Werner made his debut last weekend after being acquired from Omaha and recorded four points (3+1) in his first two games. Werner matched his goal total from his 14 games with the Lancers and is now three goals away from topping his previous single-season high of eight goals in 2021-22 with Youngstown.
 
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Bounce Back: The last time that the Stars lost back-to-back games, Oct. 28-29, they followed it up by winning four consecutive games. Both of the Stars' two separate four-game winning streaks have been snapped with back-to-back losses.   

New College Commits: Stars forwards Klavs Veinbergs and Jared Mangan have both announced college commitments in the last two days. Veinbergs committed to Minnesota State Mankato and Mangan decided on Clarkson to give the Stars 20 college commitments. Veinbergs and Mangan could be skating with extra confidence given their exciting weeks so far.

Filling The Net: Lincoln is looking to getting back to filling the net after being held to just three goals over last weekend's two losses. The Stars are fourth in the USHL with 56 goals and have scored 15 goals in three meetings with the Storm.
