STARS CAN’T CLIMB OUT OF EARLY HOLE AGAINST GREEN BAY

SCORE TWICE IN THIRD PERIOD BUT CAN'T COMPLETE COMEBACK

Dashel Oliver scored twice but the Lincoln Stars fell to the Green Bay Gamblers, 5-2, on Friday night at the Resch Center.

Oliver cashed in on off a tie up on the right-wing side at the 11:26 mark of the third and then cashed in on a one-timer on the power play 4:57 later. The two-goal effort marked his first USHL multi-goal game and the Stars' fourth of the season.

Lincoln (3-8-0-2) could not overcome surrendering three goals 5:35 apart in the opening 11:34 of the first period. Green Bay (10-5-1-0) scored the game's first four goals before Oliver's two tallies in the third.

The Stars outshot the Gamblers, 39-28, marking the seventh time that they outshot an opponent. The two teams combined for 28 shots in the first period but Lincoln outshot Green Bay each frame.
