Ross Kovacs

Kovacs is entering his second season with the Stars after a successful first season in which he helped Lincoln win the Anderson Cup as USHL regular-season champions. Originally from Dickinson, ND, he played high school hockey until his senior year and went on to play for Russell Stover U18 for two seasons. After playing junior hockey in Florida for a season, Kovacs then went on to play for Hawkesbury Hawks in the CCHL before attending college. He went on to play four years of D-III hockey at Gustavus Adolphus in Minnesota where he studied Exercise Physiology.
Kovacs recently held coaching positions, starting in 2019, as a Lead Instructor at MAP Hockey in Minnesota, an elite hockey training facility outside the Twin Cities. He then went on to be an assistant coach at St. Scholastica D-III in Duluth, MN for a season and then moved on to be an assistant coach in the USHL for the Madison Capitals. After a season in Madison, Kovacs took the assistant coaching position for the Springfield Jr Blues in the NAHL in 2023-24. He recently spent this past summer helping as an instructor at the Base Sports Performance training facility in the West Metro area in Minnesota.
