Ice Box to host "Wedding on Ice" during Stars game Friday

LINCOLN, Neb. — Oct. 6, 2026 — The Lincoln Stars will host a "Wedding on Ice" on Friday, October 9th during the Lincoln Stars game against the Des Moines Buccaneers.

The Stars will welcome the friends and family of Scott Wenzl, and his bride-to-be, Jayden, for a night of celebration at the Ice Box, in front of their Stars community.

"Since the early stages of our relationship, the Ice Box has held a special place in our hearts, so it's only fitting for it to be where we say our vows." Wenzl said. "Together we've shared countless memories from our seats in section K and we are so excited to be able to share this moment with our friends, family, and hockey family. We want to thank Mr. Fernandez, Suzanne Petersen, Addison Jones, Christian Harris, the entire Lincoln Stars organization, and the USHL for allowing us to make our special day the most memorable and meaningful event we could ever dream of."

"We're excited to host the couple's wedding at the Ice Box and share their special day with our fans," said Suzanne Petersen, Vice President of the Lincoln Stars. "Friday will be a fun night of hockey and love as two Stars fans tie the knot. We can't wait to celebrate with them, their guests, and the Stars community."

The Stars take on the Des Moines Buccaneers on Friday night, as the Wenzl's celebrate their special night. Tickets are available at lincolnstars.com
